So you are getting a Havanese puppy or maybe you are just looking for some new ideas for food, toys, training items, etc. for the Havanese who already have a place in your home and your heart. We are frequently asked for our suggestions on a wide range of products...foods, supplements, grooming supplies, treats and toys, kennels, beds, gates, etc. Listed below you can find the items that have worked well for us and our Tejano Havanese owners. Foods
Nature's Variety Raw Abundance is the dry kibble we feed here for our Havanese. It combines the outstanding nutrition found in raw and natural foods with the ease and convenience of a kibble. Coats are outstanding on this product as it contains no grain whatsoever and is much higher than other foods in % of protein and fat. Shown here is the 23.5 lb. bag, but you may also purchase Nature's Variety kibble in smaller sizes shown to the right. My adult Havanese receive about 1/2 cup of this daily mixed as below, so it really is quite economical to feed this top of the line food! We mix this with either Tripett Green Tripe or Nature's Variety canned food and often will top it with some of the Nature's Variety Freeze Dried Raw Meat Medallions. One of our favorite canned foods to mix into the kibble here is this Tripett Advanced Skin + Coat formula. It contains green beef tripe, duck, salmon and menhaden fish oil along with glucosamine and chondrotin for joint health. We use about 1/2 can to mix into several cups of dry kibble, so a little of this goes a long way!. Tripett offers several different sizes and varieties of their wonderful products, which may be found here @ Tripett Canned Foods	We alternate the Tripett canned food with this, Nature's Variety canned chicken + turkey. Again, this food is 95% meat with no grain added. What is added to the formula? Veggies, kelp, herbs and lots of vitamins and minerals to keep your Havanese looking its best! We only mix in about 1/2 can of this to several cups of kibble. Nature's Variety canned foods come in many flavors including Beef, Duck, Venison and Rabbit and may be found here @ Nature's Variety Canned Foods	Nature's Variety Freeze Dried Venison Medallions are a wonderful topper for dry kibble or can be used alone for a complete meal. It only takes a minute or two for these freeze dried medallions to be reconsituted with hot water. Feed about 3 daily for one Havanese or if used on top of the kibble I only use one per day. Other foods you may wish to consider include: Wysong Archetype Foods Avoderm Specialty Foods - many breeders use these for their Havanese with skin allergies Dr. Harvey's- a dry mix in that can be used with fresh hamburger or other meats to provide a well rounded raw food that is homemade. Evangers Canned Foods - 100% organic canned food choices Life's Abundance - both canned food and dry kibble that offers premium nutrition for your Havanese Red Barn - my Havanese will always eat this chub style food, no matter what! Great for pregnant moms or those who just whelped a litter and who need a high calorie food while nursing.

Treats & Supplements
Flossies are an all time favorite treat with the Havanese here at Tejano! These natural chews are much safer than rawhide and help provide a positive outlet for all of that puppy chewing energy! These flossies from Merrick have none of the unpleasant odors or "bugs" that can often come along with the dried treats that are found in pet superstores. We only use Merrick here.	Dried chicken breast filets are another favorite at our house.	Texas Toothpicks from Merrick are another treat our Havanese just love. Made from beef tails, they are smoked and are all natural treats.
